Oct 11, 2018 by Rico Wise

Subsequent to the deployment of PoS systems based on digital currencies, designed to advance payments with crypto, Pundi X announces making the first-ever phone call using blockchain technology. The call has been performed using the newest development of the project called the XPhone. This took place at the XBlockchain Summit event in Bali.

The XPhone is a mobile phone that utilizes blockchain technologies instead of centralized mobile carriers for operating. It utilizes the Function X blockchain, designed by Pundi X. The blockchain is a private platform created by Pundi X crew for solution of issues that current blockchain networks are facing, including scalability, simplified dApps publishing, and decentralization of the worldwide web.

The newly created blockchain includes five crucial elements making it a uniquely decentralized product. These elements include the operating system, the blockchain, the IPFX, the FXTP protocol, and the docker. According to the startup’s developers, the operating system of Fuction X is based on Android 9.0, which facilitates the transition for both Android customers and developers. Pundi X stated that it will be much simpler to design and release new decentralized applications.

The project team also revealed that every device operating in the ecosystem of Function X will serve as a node, with its own address and private key.
