BASE.INFO team has interviewed Ross Jones the CEO of VolAir project. We have asked the most topical questions to get acquainted with the project and to learn the future plans of the VolAir team.
Please welcome, Ross Jones.
Please describe your company/project in 2 sentences.
Private Jet Chartering & Luxury Lifestyle on the blockchain.
Why did you decide that blockchain should be the basis of your project?
The business models for existing chartering companies did nothing to reward the loyalty of their customers but charged them annual fees instead. We flip that and charge no fees and instead reward their service to us!
Why did you launch the ICO? Was it the only option to collect the funds?
Yes, pretty much. That and it's a great way to get the name out there. It seemed like the best way to conduct the launch of the business
Briefly describe your team. Why these people became the engine of your project?
I've worked with them before, known each other a long time (founding partners) and they're so good at what they do!
What are the main centerpiece and the highlight of your project? What will attract the investors' attention?
The fact that we can be profitable and generating revenue from launch. We have all the aspects we need to deliver great services to our customers.
What are your thoughts about ICO marketing? Can it be really effective due to all the restrictions and other phenomenas?
I'm a bit dubious of all this. I know it's very different from normal marketing (not hugely, but in terms of where you market and how), but so many companies have come out to make a quick buck from people it's hard to know what's good and what isn't.
Why is your project better than your competitors?
Our team, concept and execution!
What are the major ways of monetization for your project?
From day 1, you buy a flight, we make money, our partners make money and the user feels like they have got a good deal.
Which markets are the most attractive for you right now? Do you take in consideration the USA and other countries with the legal restrictions for the crypto crowdfundings?
From a business point of view it's worldwide, with 4 main areas of focus; EU, Asia, UAE and US. From ICO point of view it's anywhere but the countries who can't for legal reasons.
Describe your project in 3 years? Will it change something in the world?
Oh yes, it will change the way customers are rewarded by companies and how loyalty is seen within the business. One of the major factors of blockchain is owning your own data and also being rewarded for your activity rather than companies making money from you. We change that.
