Blackstar is a crypto-currency game launched in the fall of 2006, the plot of which is based on the interaction of three civilizations with a different mentality. Players can play any of them, while receiving a reward in the digital currency BSTAR. In each of these virtual civilizations, different principles of obtaining wealth, that is, players are in different conditions and are rewarded in different ways. One of the civilizations has many colonies and a trading fleet, also producing resources and is trading with a whole galaxy, another trading race that does not have an army and is forced to hire someone else for defense, while the third one is the strongest in the military plan and prefers to receive resources through attacks and robbery.
As a cryptographic currency, Blackstar is a peer-to-peer decentralized system running on the X11 hash algorithm, using the Proof of Stake verification algorithm. The BSTAR coin can not be produced, since the entire possible volume of coins is already in circulation, which is not much more than 630 million coins, which can only be earned by earning in the game, playing for one of the civilizations.
