BASE.INFO team has interviewed Sam Collett the Co-Founder of HiP Property project. We have asked the most topical questions to get acquainted with the project and to learn the future plans of the HiP team.

Please describe your company/project in 2 sentences.

HiP is a revolutionary trading exchange for debt and equity in property, allowing a huge improvement in flexibility for homeowners, investors and first time buyers.HiP’s vision is to create a real estate ecosystem linking both financial and non-financial services with buyers, owners and investors within a connected virtual and real world experience.

Why did you decide that blockchain should be the basis of your project?

Blockchain is the way that we immutably store all transactions. But also its the way that we allow access to third parties to make use of the platform and to decentralise the financial products (loans and mortgages) and portfolios.

Why did you launch the ICO? Was it the only option to collect the funds?

Its not the only option, but as we require a utility token for this to function it seems like a sensible idea. Also a broad base of advocates is what will launch or product to the masses.

Briefly describe your team. Why these people became the engine of your project?

We have a team of 25+ specialists in the areas of trading, cryptocurrencies, property, marketing, design, video production, finance and most of all compliance and legal. Without these beautiful people we are nothing.

What are the main centerpiece and the highlight of your project? What will attract the investors' attention?

We are FCA regulated to trade debt and equity on a "smart" contract. We think we can solve the UK housing crisis and then the world's!

What are your thoughts about ICO marketing? Can it be really effective due to all the restrictions and other phenomenas?

It is getting trickier but more importantly ICOs are maturing. Investors are behaving much more like VCs and Angels - asking tricky questions and holding back on the more dodgy offerings. This is a great thing.

Why is your project better than your competitors?

Great question. We dont think there is anyone quite like HiP, either in the crypto world or in old money.

What are the major ways of monetization for your project?

The utility token is the key to all trades. Any payment involving debt and equity involves a small fee, paid exclusively in HiP Tokens. This includes on-boarding and fees paid to services.

Which markets are the most attractive for you right now? Do you take in consideration the USA and other countries with the legal restrictions for the crypto crowdfundings?

We are already talking to various worldwide partners in territories you might not expect. What matters for us is the state of the property economy in any given country.

Describe your project in 3 years? Will it change something in the world?

Oh yes. We will be changing the way that people fund their homes and offices - forever.
