Please describe your company/project in 2 sentences.
VREO offers embedded in-game ads, eliminating the 12.5 billion USD problem of ad fraud using blockchain technology. Developers set up ad spaces in their gaming world, which in turn - through our programmatic advertising marketplace - get filled with fitting ads.
Why did you decide that blockchain should be the basis of your project?
Because ad fraud is a multi-billion dollar problem and the number one concern of digital advertisers, and blockchain can bring trust and transparency to a market in dire need of it.
Why did you launch the ICO? Was it the only option to collect the funds?
No it was not, but as gamers ourselves we believe in community participation and want to both involve and give something back to the community that fuels the whole industry.
Briefly describe your team. Why these people became the engine of your project?
We are a good mix of both business and tech people, with dozens of years of experience in startups. Most of us are also gamers ourselves and want to improve the state our favorite industry.
What are the main centerpiece and the highlight of your project? What will attract the investors' attention?
We have three modules: the plugin for game developers to set up ad spaces, the marketplace to match developers and advertisers, and the rewards for gamers giving attention to the ads through tokenized scores. Our token economics are designed with velocity in mind, as our access tokens need to be held in order to gain advanced access to our ecosystem and also enjoy discounts.
What are your thoughts about ICO marketing? Can it be really effective due to all the restrictions and other phenomenas?
Yes, it can be, but it is hard to filter - both for ICO issuers and interested participants due to the amount of fraudulent content and proposals flying around. Everybody needs to run an intensive due diligence or rely on trusted portals for evaluation.
Why is your project better than your competitors?
We don't really have competitors, as our way of embedding ads - like product placement - is very unique. Other than that, we have a great mixed team with lots of experience, a great advisory & partner board as well as the first batch of launch partners already eagerly waiting for us to release.
What are the major ways of monetization for your project?
For funding, it is both private sales, accelerator funds and potentially strategic investment in addition to the ICO. FOr our operational business we operate on a commission fee basis of ads that were proven to be delivered.
Which markets are the most attractive for you right now? Do you take in consideration the USA and other countries with the legal restrictions for the crypto crowdfundings?
Due to the nature of our project, the APAC region as well as the USA are of huge interest to us, but we also had some great results in Europe. In the USA, under certain specific conditions it is possible to crowdfund regulated and approved by the SEC.
Describe your project in 3 years? Will it change something in the world?
It will change the way games are getting developed (with player feedback and voting impacting the development process) and financed - no more pay to win mechanisms or interrrupting ad formats, with a fairer distribution of proceeds.
